Home Our Equipment Water Quality Monitors pH Probe
The pH5 electrode has a double-junction reference to prevent contamination of the reference from sample components.
This design gives the electrode a longer life compared to ordinary electrodes (up to 3 yrs). The electrode also has a hemi-shaped glass measuring surface which is more durable than the traditional bulb-shaped glass.
Sitting at the top end of the market place, the ORAKEL pH probe has a longer life and lower maintenance requirements. Typically it only needs calibrating once every two or three months, making it a very cost effective solution.
Our range of ORAKEL pH probe can measure the online pH of any aqueous solution. They are combination glass electrodes with integral reference and automatic temperature compensation which use no reagents, are extremely stable and have reduced maintenance and lower whole-life costs.

pH5 and pH6 are particularly sensitive to difficult applications such as very low ionic strength waters or high temperature applications. The pH1-3 models in the range are less expensive, and have more traditional combination electrodes.
Anywhere you have a requirement to measure pH is a suitable application for the ORAKEL pH probe. One area the sensors excel is in the measurement of pH in very low conductivity or ultra clean water. They are also particularly suited to working in sites where reliability and ease of use are most important.
Typical applications include:
The ORAKEL PH sensors can be installed in a variety of auxiliary flow cells and self-cleaning devices.
The ORAKEL can come equipped to automatically clean itself at user defined intervals with all the benefits of no operator intervention for 6 months. The Autoflush is particularly useful in food preparation, pulp and paper, and many applications where there is likely to be a build up of solids in the sample. Autoflush is available for at line, and in line versions including dip and screw in autoclean pipe version.
Key features and product specification
The ORAKEL Turbidity monitor automatically varies the light output so that the turbidity can be measured independently of background light and electronic drift. It is ISO 7027 compliant and covers a range of 0.01-1000 NTU (0.01-2000mg/l depending on the sample).
The ORAKEL System determines true turbidity and/or suspended solids in water, using a nephelometric measurement of scattered light in accordance with ISO 7027. The sensor uses lifetime-based optical technology to provide an extremely stable, accurate, low maintenance sensor with no moving parts and no consumables.
The ORAKEL Suspended Solids senor has a large dynamic range, which eliminates the need for a “zero” and also eliminates the effect of background light.
For multiple measuring ranges, the suspended solids sensor can monitor turbidity and suspended solids from 2 NTU (1mg/l) to 8%* solids.
The ORAKEL peracetic acid sensor is a membrane device which use no reagents. It is extremely stable and has a reduced maintenance and reduced whole life costs.
With its reduced maintenance, reduced calibration and reduced spares requirements, the ORAKEL peracetic acid sensor is arguably the most cost effective peracetic acid analyser available.
Particle counters are known for their ability to detect when a filter is reaching the end of its life. ORAKEL Particle Counters are sophisticated instruments suitable for municipal and industrial water treatment applications including filter performance monitoring, protecting RO membranes from colloidal fouling and corrosion product monitoring.
Optical luminescent devices which are extremely resistant to abrasion, extremely stable, and have greatly reduced maintenance and whole life costs.
The ORAKEL Dissolved Oxygen sensor has no chemicals or moving parts. It is stable and reliable making it excellent for process controls and is suitable for all Dissolved Ovygen applications.
Water can have a positive or negative Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) and it is measured in volts. ORP is a way to measure water’s ability to accept or release electrons during a chemical reaction. Understanding the ORP value helps determine the quality of the water and thereby helps operators decide what water treatment processes may be required. The more positive the ORP value, the greater the tendency the water has to oxidise (gain electrons from) organisms or other material in the water, thereby killing or destroying them.
