Detectronic’s IECEx Certified Service Facilityis the first – and remains the only – IECEx Certified Facility of its kind in the UK specialising in the Repair, Service and Calibration of Intrinsically-Safe, Flow and Level Monitoring and Sampling Equipment.

Instrumentation Designed and Certified for safe use in potentially-explosive atmospheres MUST BE MAINTAINED STRICTLY TO ITS ORIGINAL SPECIFICATION.

Our skilled Engineers have between them over 50 years’ accumulated experience of building, calibrating, servicing and maintaining these specialised instrument-types –  in many cases with this experience drawn from their involvement in the original design or manufacture of the equipment.

IECEx accreditation was sought and has been achieved to permit Detectronic to widen its scope of Service & Repair to cover most equipment of this type currently in use in the UK today.  Detectronic observes Internationally recognised Standards and Processes: IEC 60079-19 Explosive Atmospheres – Part 19: Equipment Repair, Overhaul and Reclamation; IECEx system documents OD014 and OD015.  BS EN13980 is observed for the specialised application of our Quality Management System – all of which is externally audited by SIRA Certification Ltd.
