Detectronic strengthens management team
Flood and pollution prevention experts, Detectronic, has appointed Andrew Southall (pictured right) as operations manager for the South West of England and Wales and Phill Tuxford (left) as sales and technical support engineer.
Southall has over 17 years experience of working in the UK water industry including directing the growth of a significant water and environmental engineering consultancy which was sold to an international infrastructure and utility services company.
In his new role, Southall will help scale Detectronic’s business and develop operational bases to serve clients in the South West including Southern Water, South West Water, Wessex Water and Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
Tuxford, 38, has a BSc in Physics, a BA in Human Geography and an MSc in Science Communication and has spent 13 years at data logging firm, Technolog, in a similar role. Over the last six months he has also worked for a water treatment company in the north of England.
Working alongside the directors and business development manager, Tuxford will support business development and enhance existing and new customer relations as well as providing in-house and on-site technical support to further enhance Detectronic’s service levels in this area.
Commenting on the appointments, Steve Woods, managing director at Detectronic said: “Andrew’s knowledge of both the water industry and the south west region are key to our continued business development with some of our key customers in the UK.
“Phill has an excellent working knowledge of our business combined with valuable experience of data monitoring and analysis in the UK and European water industries. We’re proud to have him and Andrew join our growing team of professionals.”
